*Tata Memorial Hospital & Rotary SOBO Inaugurate Renovated Patient General Ward* Mumbai, 2nd April 2026 The Rotary Club of Mumbai SOBO in partnership with Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) Parel - Mumbai, inaugurated a newly renovated patient ward aimed at enhancing comfort, hygiene and patient care. The project was made possible through the generous support of Principal Benefactor, Mr. Sunil Siraslewala & family, and was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Sudeep Gupta, Director - Tata Memorial Centre and Dr. Manish Motwani, District Governor - Rotary District 3141. The initiative was led by Rotarians from SOBO, Priti Doshi, Sargam Thakkar and Rajiv Punater, with support from the TMH team including Dr. Sandeep Sawakare, Dr. Ankita and Mr. Rohit Sharma, along with contributions from Kansai Nerolac Paints and Finolex Pipes. The renovated ward reflects a shared commitment to delivering dignified, patient-centric healthcare.

Improve communication and social interaction among students. Build confidence and self-esteem. Encourage kindness, empathy, and responsibility toward animals and people. Support children with special needs in learning and engagement. Help students express emotions in a comfortable way.

Breast & Cervical Screening Camp

A total of 38 ladies underwent breast examinations with the iBreast Machine, of which three were detected with abnormalities. Letters were issued for them to undergo sonomammography at either Suburban Diagnostics or NM Medical @ a subsidized rate of Rs. 1200/- each 13 ladies between 35 and 65 years agreed to undergo Pap Smear tests for cervical Cancer. None were detected with abnormalities. Eighty juice boxes, biscuit packets, and water were distributed to all patients and their accompanying individuals.

1 Million Meals, Countless Smiles In collaboration with Bloomberg and Magic Bus India Foundation, Rotary SOBO proudly facilitated a part of the 1 Million Meals Challenge - spreading nourishment and kindness across Mumbai. • 454 beneficiaries at Aman Shanti Nagar (via Jeevandhara Foundation) • 125 young minds at DSS School Correctional Facility 75 residents of Aruna Shelter & The Salvation Army Old Age Home. Each packet contained one sandwich and one Frooti.
