By chance, I walked into the seminar about joining a
Rotary Club in January 2021. Monica’s persuasive talk,
left no doubt in my mind and was happy to be a charter member of our club from February 2021. What a journey, it has been since then! Last 3 years seem like 13 years, with the amount of work done, the friendships formed, new skills learned.
Always considered myself an introvert, so had to get
out of my comfort zone here. Have followed my passion for sports, health and fitness and made it my work. We train the trainers and do corporate programs in wellness.
Reading, travel, photography, music keeps my sanity.
My better half Sarita balances me perfectly. She is a
home chef. My son, Varun is into sports management, Working for a UK firm ,based in Hong Kong. My daughter Meha is a designer at a clothing brand in Sydney. Both kids have found their partners and it has been such a pleasure to welcome Sailesh and Nandini to the family.
Our beagle Bozo, is the the apple of our eye at home. Looking forward to doing more, serving more here at SOBO. Cheers to a great bunch of members.

Given the amount you hear me at the weekly meetings, thought a written bit may be a welcome change. I am a lawyer and work at a metal packaging manufacturing company. Enjoying being on a sabbatical at the moment, which I spend the greater part of by helping my 4-year old on his quest to “read every funny book in the world” and try out ‘recipes’ to make slime. I also have a 3-month old who keeps things busy at home.
Wildlife conservation interests me, and I like to read
fiction. One new thing I recently took up is calligraphy,
and I find it’s practice lends a stillness to my mind.

Hi, I’m Premal Sanghvi. Nature and her animals, in particular, are my permanent calling. As ennui gets the better of me, I avoid monotony. My profession of art dealing and artist representation, keep me engaged with the everchanging creativity. A direct hobby, or obsession, therefore, is collecting fine art and sculptural artefacts/furniture. I have been engaged with various animal charities, working for their welfare and rights. Proud parents of two water babies – Stuti (17), a swimmer, and Sanika (14), a sailor, pun intended, we call ourselves the S family. I went with a profession which matches my name – An Architect. For 24 years, I have been associated with 5 colleges and have shared my skills and knowledge with thousands of students in my short run. I have two lovely children (both have flown out so I
have an empty nest), and a wonderful hubby who has supported me throughout my life.
After completing my journalism and teaching training at Xaviers, for many years, I was a teacher, spurred on by my love for working with children. I am presently teaching English at a government school, which satisfies a little of my quench to give back to society.
I also have a small clothing line called Guzellik,

I am professionally trained in Hindustani Classical Music. I love travelling, swimming and dancing. I have been working with various NGOS for fundraising for various causes, teaching music to underprivileged children at SUPPORT. Over the years my music has both entertained and healed many. Hi, my name is Diju … A Fauji Brat who hails from Kashmir… But has been fortunate to travel across the length and breadth of India… Happily Married to Gaurav (I am happy and he is married ) for almost 2 decades. We have two boys Abhinav (14 going on 40) and Sidhant (10 but refusing to grow beyond 5) who add to the chaos in our lives.
I have been a Retail Banker for 12 … Full time mum for 10 and a leadership facilitator for 2 years! I enjoy spending time teaching and am currently associated with a foundation where I teach Maths to kids from Slums.

Time flies… 17 months with SOBO and I must admit it has been a joyride as Dream Director – Youth Services. I love a start-up; be it a club, hotel or a school. The feeling of being inspired by the possibilities that lie ahead.
I am Mahera Goel… an educator with a mix of compassion and creativity. Down memory lane, I grew up wanting to be a Theatre Artist. It’s a hobby now, but only backstage. After being associated with the finest hotel chains for over a decade, my family lineage pulled me back into education. I am currently
the Principal of an IB World School in Mumbai, Vice-Chair of the IB Heads Association and lead learning with the IBEN professional development team across Asia Pacific. The “classroom as a laboratory” would best fit as an analogy to my goals, where it is not just the ticks but the trials that shaped me to become who I am. A Mumbai University Topper, at 40 I decided to study again. Harvard Uni called thereafter and I pursued a Master’s in Education ntrepreneurship and School Leadership, thinking beyond borders and gaining different perspectives.
I truly believe there are many beautiful reasons to be happy; my daughter, who currently studies in NY, and a warm bunch of family and friends. My bucket list nudges me to balance between my purpose and passions. When not at work, you will catch me watching a movie, listening to music or window shopping. As co-founder of the Nuclear Law Association of India, I am passionate about conducting annual legal training courses and lockdown has given me the opportunity to write several academic papers. I love all sports, running half marathons for years, but now my attention has shifted to soccer, tennis, cricket, CrossFit and group sports where at least it’s easier to chat!
I met my hubby, Ravi, while studying in the US and we work together in his Dad’s law firm. We have two kids, Nimay (14) and Nilaya (10) – my best buddies! Oh, and we have 4 cats, all rescued – sorry, can’t accept anymore!

By chance, I walked into the seminar about joining a
Rotary Club in January 2021. Monica’s persuasive talk,
left no doubt in my mind and was happy to be a
charter member of our club from February 2021.
What a journey, it has been since then! Last 16
months seem like 16 years, with the amount of work
done, the friendships formed, new skills learned.
Always considered myself an introvert, so had to get
out of my comfort zone here.
Have followed my passion for sports, health and
fitness and made it my work. We train the trainers
and do corporate programs in wellness.
Reading, travel, photography, music keeps my sanity.
My better half Sarita balances me perfectly. She is a
home chef. My son, Varun is into sports management,
working for an UK firm here. My daughter Meha is a
designer at a clothing brand in Sydney. Our beagle
Bozo, is the the apple of our eye at home.
Looking forward to doing more, serving more here at
SOBO. Cheers to a great bunch of members.

products enterprise, Goa beckoned and I found my calling as a real estate developer, the newest edition
being founding a hyper-casual Gamification company.
Scuba diving is my passion, running & racquet sports a thrill. Vagabonding & global cuisine a treat. Family and friends matter to me, are my fuel for growth. A single parent, life has been a Jumanji adventure with my buddies and whiz kids Ranvir and Ria, and our pup Casper.

Hello everyone, I am Monisha Mullick, a true Mumbaikar at heart. My husband Ravi is a fellow Rotarian and we have 2 amazing children. Mihir, who, with his talented wife, Rushoti, lives and works in Chicago, and Maithili, who is an advertising professional in Mumbai. I am a Perfumer or “Nose” by profession. My work is creative and exciting. I love to elevate people’s moods by creating beautiful fragrances. I have been associated with the Cosmetic Industry for over 30 years and serve on the board of the Indian Society of Cosmetic Chemists, where I help mentor young people trying to make a career in this industry. Other passions include Latin and Ballroom dancing, where I have competed in Dancesport competitions, Pilates, Exercising, Reading and Traveling. I look forward to interacting with new friends and giving back to society by actively involving myself in meaningful projects at Rotary SOBO.
